I picked this whole topic up at Digg almost 2 hours after it started, I promptly emailed the guy running that Mac Mini site. He replied the day later and in rather good English for, I assume it to have not been his first language.

Hi Lane!

Thank you for taking time to send me an electronic mail over the Internet.

I have no intention to contact Apple whatsoever or share the least piece of information about this with them.

I hope my Mac get rm'd. I hope more people discover more bugs. I hope
more Mac OS X computers get hacked. I do not secretly wish for peace on
earth.

So the person responding either demonstrated a very black hat mentality, or they just lied about the whole thing.

Consider that when I sent this out I knew very little about what had happened and I hadn't considered the possibility that the whole thing was a privilege escalation.

I hope that's real and not made up...if it is that's ridiculous. Some anti-mac guy who likes his piece of crap windows machine better.

Kind've odd response, I'd say.

This, however, I find hiliarious...absolutely golden:

For some reason, that cracked me up. :D

(...as opposed to an electronic mail through some other means? I keed...I keed...)

Such nice people in our society. I'm glad that people are out there just spending their time on making other peoples' lives harder in general -- and that goes towards everyone who spends the time to create viruses (virii?), and the like.

I say we re-think the death penalty for those kind of people.

I think the death penalty would be a little too humane for someone like this.:p
