GOP says 5,000 non-citizens voting in Colorado a 'wake-up call' for states

Does this strike at the heart of democracy too?

I would really like to see the study. According to the Colorado Dept. of Revenue,
So, the law's been in place for almost 5 years and Colorado issues licenses to adults for five years. so I'm not sure where the problem is. Is Colorado's DMV not doing its job? Are there public employees taking backhanders and issuing non-legal residents drivers licenses?

Something obviously really stinks about this "study". The Hill is implying that illegals are voting when that is not at all the case. If someone is a legal resident, I really don't see the point of denying them the right to vote in local elections. They're presumably working and paying taxes, why shouldn't they be able to vote?

The EU allows this now and it makes perfect sense. By denying legal residents a say in local and state government seems sort of stupid.
