I thought this couldn't happen?
Its a trojan, trojans can happen to any system.
It fools the user into thinking its legit and they install it.
Not to mention no one says "Macs don't get viruses" they say "There are no known viruses for Mac OS in the wild". (A trojan is NOT a virus by the way, those are different).
Not to mention there was a security update for Java that fixes this so its important to keep your system up to date.
EDIT: Here is a way to check if you have it and how to remove it:
To the average joe, Trojan = virus
And, what does this have to do with iPhones, exactly?
Exactly what I thought. Plus there is already an article about this on the front page.
Apparently some computer trojans somehow direct you to a forum about a cell phone.
I have a iPhone 4 and love it and was thinking about buying a Mac when my Dell laptop goes out.
So did I break a rule here?
No, but you will find that posting in the forum for the product which you are looking for answers, will often give more results then the product which you currenty own.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go find the standard virus reply.
Ah, found it.
You have a PC and you are concerned about viruses on a Mac? LOL just buy the Mac already.
Well excuse my dumbass.
Who told you that it couldn't happen?
