So I am now running Half Life 2 in Boot Camp (crossover is pretty bad). I only have two problems: People and items at times, when i get farther from them, go gray and white. I don't really get that one. Also, every once in a while, it will start stuttering really bad, but not in a really graphic intensive area. Besides that, everything is FINE. 30 fps or so, it dips at times, but it's completly liveable, sans the game stopping stutter. If anyone could give me some tips for these two problems, I would be much obliged. Also, how does Portal run on the MacBook?

Nah, people run it on the Macbook all the time. Mine's running amazing right now (all settings high, should maybe lower some). There might be one or two errors due to it not being dedicated, but it works.

Is the stuttering related to the number of people playing?

For getting best performance I'd recommend reading this:
