Earlier today I played Halo. It ran fine. Now, when I try to start it, it apears to open and then quits. I've tried reinstalling it and deleteing my profiles. Any ideas?

I have a 2.0 ghz Macbook with 1.5 gb of RAM. Im running halo 1.02. Im not sure if its PPC or Intel.

Here's what happens when I try to update to halo universal 2.0.3

Its asking me to locate the halo game file.

Yea you should upgrade to v.2.0.3. You can upgrade online here. That would be my suggestion because the previous version is not meant to run on intel computers. And the upgrade it only $5.00.

Whoa Whoa Whoa! Before we go spending $5 lets think of a thrifty solution. Does the fact that the Halo Demo will not run either give you any ideas?

It's only $5 lol. And the Halo Demo is PPC only, although it does run on some intel systems. The point is, you need to get a Universal version, which is what the download is. You need to provide your original Halo CD Key when purchasing, so make sure you have that handy.

I dont have it "handy" how can I get it from the installed application?

Go to this path: User/Library/Preferences. In that folder, there should be a file called "com.macsoft.halo.plist". Open it with TextEdit. In the middle line, you should see four sets of four numbers/letters separated by dashes. This is your CD Key. DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING IN THE .PLIST, as this can lead to issues.
