Ok i looked every where for this fix and did not find anything that worked for me . I did end up fixing it my self and wonted everyone to now how i did so :D. So here it is ;) .

The hard drive did not click or rev up it just made a whining noise.kind of like a mmmmda....mmmmda....mmmmda and stopped for a min and started the noise again all that would show is a blanking folder with a ? in it. If i held down the alt key i would get a mouse courser and a white screen noting else.So i figured it had to be the hard drives read/write heads stuck in the home position. So i took out the hard drive and taped it on my palm on the top front and back and on the bottom front and back(Not really hard just hard e'nuf to make a light smack noise) . This caused the read/write heads to dislodge from home position. Now the drive works fine and all wells, that ends well

This would be a last resort thing to do it may end up making more trouble than help. I have done this many times for old windows PC before and never on a laptop sata drive. hope this helps someone out there. :p
