Has anyone else had the problem where icloud doesn't 'just work'?

Last night I had the issue of taking photos and they were not appearing in photo stream, several phone resets later I finally got it working, but I was surprised as the typical consumer would of probably given up at that point. iCloud was suppose to be touted as a feature that just works when you turn it on, but for me and alot of other people it wasn't that simple.

Whats been your experiences with it?

was your wifi on? It doesn't upload if it's not on wi-fi.

Yeah WifI is always on, just didn't work. Iv spoke to a few people who have had this problem and if you google the problem its not unique to me and my friends. And the solution? All sorts of technical responses like reset this and delete that and go to x folder and do this and that to your router.
