This is ridiculous. Does anyone know how to delete them? I hate how Apple doesn't let use Select a photo in iPhoto, and Delete from the stream.
Turn off photo stream and all pictures will be deleted. You cannot select individuals to be deleted, though. It is all or nothing.
I have the opposite problem- i cannot figure out how to get the photos into 'photo stream' except if i add them on the mac in iPhoto. I can't figure out how to get the photo taken from the iPhone directly into photo stream
Well. I completely whiped out Photo Stream on iPhoto. Disabled it, and turned off auto-import. Now I just gotta pick and chose which photo's i want for my Stream. Dandy. ^.^ Update: Didn't work. I turned off Photostream, Deleted the Photo's I didn't want from my iPhoto Library. Turned PHotostream BACK on….All the pictures are back.
Because I'd like to be able to decide for myself which pictures I want to share and which ones I don't. Call me silly...
I totally agree, hate seeing pictures I would otherwise delete. They are clutter to me and I hate clutter. I just set up drop box to upload my selected pics to the cloud in the sky. It is really speedy and will suffice until they update photostream to allow us to delete.
This is how you do it. I think it was called reset photostream. It deletes them all. You cant do individual photos.
This is super annoying. Because I have accidentally saved photos that were e-mailed to me on 2 devices, there are now doubles in photostream. How hard would it be to let us delete them?
Wouldn't be hard at all. There are plenty of things about iOS that wouldn't be hard to implement differently. I am sure somewhere down the line we will be able to delete from photostream. Until then it is but a dream.
I used to be bothered that I can't edit photostream. Then I realized photosteam is not permenant all together. Photos disappear on their own in 30 days. So I stopped caring about whats on there anymore.
Even if we can't delete them, I'd like my phone to only add photos I take with the camera. I dont want saved pictures from Safari and Mail, and I dont want screenshots either.
this business of not allowing people to manage their own content is another in an increasing number of retarded moves by Apple. I'm a huge Apple fan, but it's moves like this that slowly but surely make people start to forget a company.
This problem is supposedly fixed in 5.1 which allows you to wipe the stream, but the time being it's not happening yet.
