I updated my SE3 to 17.7.2 yesterday. Today a "1" badge appeared on Settings, which says "Update to 18.1.1". I don't want to update to 18.1.1. I'm satisfied with 17.7.2 for now, which is why I chose it yesterday instead of 18.1.1. How do I get rid of the unwanted badge?

Me too. I had the iOS 18 beg until I'd installed iOS 17.7.1, then that went away. Then last night when they released iOS 18.8.1, it came back, but iOS 17.7.2 was available, which I'd much rather have. Installed that.

And the beg didn't go away.

This happens every year around this time. I have all my apps on one page in folders in my home screen.

What I do & am doing right now is taking the Settings app & isolating it on a 2nd page. If you have more apps than can fit on one page, just move the Settings app to a 2nd or 3rd page & when you need to access, just swipe down on the home page and do a search.

As a matter of fact, keying in "S" or "Se" for me will bring the Settings app right up. You probably won't need to search for it after the 1st time.

You can create a shortcut to open Settings (prefs:root) and add that to the home screen.

A workaround: switch updates to Download only. Then go to iPhone Storage and Delete the iOS 18.1.1 file that's downloaded. That 1 will dissapear.
