Asking because the brand new 7th gen iPads are $90 off there and 3 of my local BestBuys wouldn't price match them because of the 1 per customer limit that MicroCenter has. Just wondering if there's a catch or if it's open box or anything. Thanks!

Best Buy has always offered to price match from Microcenter for me.

Maybe ask a BB manager politely if they would price match.

As far as build quality, it's a crapshoot no matter where you buy iPads. I've bought glitchy iPads from Apple and Best Buy since 2017.

Just so you know, Apple does price match up to 10% off, you won't get the $90 but you will get something.

Also, you may want to wait until Best Buy has $100 off sales on these iPads, which may kick in again around President's Day. Keep checking and good luck.

MicroCenter is just an authorized reseller, the Apple products aren't any different than BestBuy, Apple direct, Verizon, etc.

Funny enough, the wife's old 2010 MBP, that still works just fine (I mean, in the context of a 10 year old computer ...) was purchased from MicroCenter.

If it was open box. They would say open box. Microcenter will often list a new item. Then if an open box item is available. They will show the new price then list open box and open box price under the new price in a smaller font.

As for pricing. This is nothing new. Microcenter often offers discount prices on new Apple products. Most notably was $1,000 off the iMac Pro when it first came out.

If you have never been to a Microcenter. They are perhaps the best computer store I've ever been to. Unlike Best Buy they have an excellent selection in stock and good prices. Sometimes better than online prices. Plus the sales staff aren't pushy.
