If you like to fiddle with operating systems, there is something new called FriendOS. Its an OS in the browser that you can login to from anywhere. Its in the early stages you can get a free account and give it a test. It has photopia and office suite. Smooth interaction too. If anyone know what programming language is used to build this I would appreciate it.

One thing I do not understand is, why would I use this? If I log into via a browser, this means I already have an OS so why run an OS inside an OS already? If you can tell me what use this would be I'd appreciate it.

I can see how someone would use it if he had an iPad but then again iPads today can use a mouse and keyboard. The other thing I heard is that they have an idea to make it a replacement for ChromeOS. So netbook kind of OS.

What are your ideas on it?

new called FriendOS
Looks to me that its just a cloud system, trying to compete against google and MS. I really don't see this much difference with what this is offering then google office or MS' office 365/Azure

it is a cloud system but its more than an office in the cloud, more like OS in the cloud. They say soon they will hav an app store but I still do not understand why would I login into an OS when I am now using a computer with an OS installed.

using native is faster probably.
