Having Trouble With iMovie

I used my hauppauge hd pvr to record me playing a game. I wanted to mesh the different recorded videos together just to test out iMovie. Now I have got all but one of my videos to work. When I goto File < Import Movie and I click the movie it gives a glimpse of the importing screen and then just stops working.

All my other videos worked just fine, and they are all the same format so I don't understand what the problem is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
