iPod touch headphone jack not working!!!!

so on the bus this morning, i was listening to my ipod (skullcandy earbuds) and it was working fine. i keep both my ipod and headphones in my pocket, but i unplug the headphones so it doesnt go off. On the bus ride home i tried plugging in my headphones and they wouldnt go in all the way. they fit about 3/4 of the way in then hit something, and wouldnt go all the way in. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Get a paper clip and gently dig out the lint that I'm sure has built up in the jack. Or get a can of compressed air and blast it out.

i tried that, for about 10 minutes, and its still blocked. like solid block.
