Congrats. I know what a big deal this is for you. Finally Mac people will be able to enjoy your creations.
Good news. I like to see our platform getting more support.
Should I be scared?
it's an RPG I started last year but never got round to finishing it. I have all the backstage stuff done I just need to make levels and enemies. Gonna be great though. it's a huge team project with my mates all directing it, based on the adventures (or MADventures as they usually end up with someone in hospital) of our little group of 5 mates. Lord Love Rocket was the name of a guy in a quiz team on a comedy over here. and we started turning up at quiz nights calling ourselves The Love Rockets. tribute or something. the boss guy is an ex-mate of ours who thought he was an actual vampire.
anyways! thats the crash course.
Just got a Reply! not entirely reassuring though.
OSX exporting is still in the future, though he hinted there may be a fully featured OSX version of MMF2 coming out (get your credit cards ready).
He also said that I need to update the MMF1.5 software extensions before opening a 1.5 game in 2. that means nothing to you. but it does mean a direct MMF2 version of Sam would take more than just clicking open then export. ah well
not what I wanted to hear. but I would cry for an OSX version of MMF2.
Your game looks really nice. Good job.
This sorta looksl ike Golden Sun on GBA
^ That looks class !!!! You really got to continue making games matey, you got some real talent for it.
It was a huge inspiration behind it, just the godly simple battle system really inspired me to follow in the same path.
sorry about the GUI too. it's still very much work in progress.
I wanna play it reallllyyy bad
It'll be nice to have Alpha channels in MMF2!
I hope they do release a OS X version soon... I'd definitely try it and try your games jimmi!
Sounds great raggedjimmi! I enjoy playing Satan Sam on PeeCee, but I would love it even more if I could play it on Mac OS X.
theres an extension for alpha channels in MMF1.5 but it's so limited, such a huge memory hog it's near unusable. I had a few in Sam, namely the side/downblast beams and the swirling lights just before the attack. but if you have a slow machine you'd know how much a drain those were!
some more pics! cuz I feel like it...
I hope it isn't too obvious I have an obsession with pixel art and 2D graphics
Looking pretty cool raggedjimmi! The pics make we want to see this game released for Mac OS even more.
Nice job, I wish I was creative
I mac version would be great, cause I have no PC, therefore I can't try your game. But its no biggy if you can't port it
Man, I hope MMF2 has what you need, so I can finally play Satan Sam.
http://satansam.co.uk/blog/punbb Just got this back up and running, literally in the past 5-10 minutes. for those that have managed to play it download the PC versions of the games there too...
Hell froze over almost 3 years ago.
Next achievement is getting pigs to fly (hint: trebuchet)
And be able to pirate it on eBay
Looks like someone stole chickens from Zelda:LttP!
And you were ratting on the original Dukes! bah!
Nice one, I'd love to see Satan Sam make its way to OSX. That new one looks great too, well done!
I can't wait to play it! On my XP equipped Macbook!
Is it not on my site? Shikun is the chicken catching game from Zelda. just with nets! when it was launched I called it the "chicken catching simulation fangame", in homage to Metal Gear Solid too.
