can someone tell me how to achieve it,

I mean i know geektool is involved, but the actual steps, like the weather widget on the top?

Thanks all

John
THIS IS FOR MINE! NOT THE ONE IN YOUR PICTURE
Temp display:
Code:
curl --silent "http://weather.yahooapis.com/forecastrss?p=USAZ0136&u=f" | grep -E '(Current Conditions:|[A-Z]<BR)' | sed -e 's/Current Conditions://' -e 's/
//' -e 's///' -e 's///' -e 's/
//' -e 's/[A-Z a-z]*, //' -e 's/\(.*\) F/\1 °F/' -e 's/\(.*\) C/\1 °C/' | sed 's/ //' | tail -n1
Change the http://weather.yahooapis.com/forecastrss?p=USAZ0136&u=f to whatever city you live in. Go to yahoo and search it.
Weather icon:
Code:
file://localhost/var/tmp/weather_image.png
and
Code:
curl --silent "http://weather.yahoo.com/united-states/arizona/tempe-12794535/" | grep "forecast-icon" | sed "s/.*background\:url(\'\(.*\)\')\;\ _background.*/\1/" | xargs curl --silent -o /var/tmp/weather_image.png\
Once again, change the URL
Then for the description:
Code:
curl --silent "http://weather.yahooapis.com/forecastrss?p=USAZ0136&u=f" | grep -E '(Current Conditions:|[A-Z]<BR)' | sed -e 's/Current Conditions://' -e 's/
//' -e 's///' -e 's///' -e 's/
//' -e 's/
//' -e 's/
//' -e 's/, [0-9]* [A-Z]//' | tail -n1
Some need to be in shell and then other's need to be in images. Just play around and google.

Hope I helped a little.
