can't open any apps on mac mini. just reinstalled os x, i'm on a psp now.

message:

The iTunes application could not be opened. You do not have enough access priveleges for this operation.

Ok, then... it was worth a shot...

A bit more information could be in order...

- is it just iTunes that refuse to open?
- does the problem persist if you log into another user account?
- how did you reinstall Mac OS X (and why)?
- are you speaking of Panther (10.3) or Tiger (10.4)?
- have you used Software Update to get up-to-date or did you downloaded
the combo updater?
- is it the Mini in your sig?
- etc, etc.

:)

I know it's not easy to type the answers to a lot of questions on a PSP, but bear with people who are trying to help you. :(

If repairing permissions didn't help....

1) Try repairing the *disk*. Do this by booting off the OS X install DVD and choosing Utilities -> Disk Utility from the menu.

2) Go to your accounts system prefs and make sure that your user is at least a standard user. If you already are, try making yourself an admin (if you aren't now).

3) Try to create a new account and see if you can access apps from it.
