Help; Girlfriend in Thailand wants new iPad and new iphone

I will be traveling to Bangkok in November and my fiancee wants me to buy her an ipad and iphone. Both will need to be data/cellular capable as she has no access to Wifi. I have no idea what or where to buy these two devices. She lives a few hours south of Bangkok in a rural moutainous area called Chanthaburi Province. I assume the iphone will need to be "unlocked." Probably want an iphone 5 or 6. The 7 will be too expensive. Any Advice or comment will be appreciated. I am currently living in the U.S.

Buy her an unlocked iPhone SE from Apple. They're not expensive and the ladies like them because of their size. As for an iPad, there are many to choose from. Buy her one that you think she'll like.

SE is the way to go and for the iPad get her want she wants either full size or a mini you can't go wrong

Buy in Hong Kong, much cheaper. Get her an iphone 6splus rose gold and iPad air or Pro, can't go wrong then.

Apple does not offically sell any refurbished iPhones on their website, only iPads.
