    Hey MacRumors!

I have a problem at the moment. My computer teacher in our school is making us use that awful Publisher program to make a project for school. With that, I need to be able to do it on my Mac somehow.... Using a PC or using Virtual Box is very impractical as neither are in working order at the moment.

So... My question: What software is out there that can open up those wonderful *.pub files?

Any quick advice would be greatly appreciated.

That stinks. You'd think Microsoft could throw publisher in with their Office: Mac suite.

Do you think Open Office could do it?

    No, see this.

Apparently Adobe Pagemaker can open them though, if you can get a copy.

And that has to be the Windows version of PageMaker, because the last Mac version could not open them.

They do the same at my school but I insist that i will do it on word and make it look pretty at home on pages.

Unfortunately though, I think your kinda screwed. Two options for you

    1) go to a library and use a computer there
    2) ask a (techy) friend to try to convert it to a word file if at all possible.
