Hi,

I picked up a used 16GB 3G last night and before I bought it the original owner did a "Erase All Content and Settings". I know that takes about 2 hours. After a couple of hours I open the box and power on the phone, it turns on, Apple logo flashes, then it shuts off. When I plug it in the iTunes it doesn't show up.

My guess is the battery died while doing the reset. Any ideas on what I can do?

Thanks

I had the exact same experience.

With the iPhone powered off, hold down the home button and plug it into your computer at the same time. iTunes will recognize the phone in recovery mode, and you need to click Restore. This will download and install 3.0 and once it's all done it'll work again.

Good luck.
