I've got a gen 2 iPod touch, and Intel Macbook w/ OS 10.5.6.
I always keep everything up to date.

I plug my iPod into the lappy lately, and iTunes won't open. iPhoto opens instead, recognizes my iPod, and wants to sync photos to it. I open iTunes, and the iPod isn't there to sync. What happened?

I have rebooted both the iPod and macbook. No luck.

iPhoto is probably opening because you have saved pictures from web pages or from emails. These will be in "Saved Photos" within the Photo App on your touch.

Either delete the photos on your touch or transfer them to your iPhoto library. If you do either of these then iPhoto will not launch unless you save more photos.

Deleted the photo from my iPod. iPhoto no longer launches.

Still, the iPod does not show up in iTunes!

i have the same problem

i have the same problem, my ipod touch won't show up in itunes but iphoto will open as soon as i connect it!. my ipod touch is not showing up in my itunes...how did you solve that problem?
