I purchased a itunes gift code from ebay. The seller has 100% positive ratings and has been on ebay since 2004 or so. I received the code via ebay message within 24 hours after purchase. However when I attempted to redeem the code, I get the following message:
"This certificate must be enabled by the iTunes Store Customer Service."
Has anyone experienced something like this? Is this normal? Most people who purchased the itunes code from ebay report they can redeem the code right away.
I contacted the iTunes Store CS via online form, but it willl take 24-48 hours before someone will respond. I also contacted the seller directly by email but no response yet. I noticed the ebay listing for the item purchased is now gone. I get an "invalid item" error in ebay when looking for the the purchase by item number also when attempt to contact the seller in ebay. This makes me a bit uneasy. My paypal is already charged for the purchase.
Any suggetions?
