I know I can Google answers but it is genuinely very difficult to find answers to specific questions like this...

I bought a Dell 1440p monitor for home use. I have a M2 MBA.

I'm finding that text size on the Dell is too small. Smaller than how it displays on my MBA. I know I can scale up text with the + and - buttons, or use the resolution settings, but I'd rather just leave things at their default setup.

I'm now wondering whether I should've just got the ASD and if this would solve the text size problem. Text size on the MBA is perfect, not too small, not too large.

Also, a pain in the backside is having to put the MBA on a stand so I can use the web cam (I do a lot of video calls and screensharing), then the Dell monitor next to it.

I'd much rather have an all-in-one solution with a web cam, but that's not the main issue here, just a secondary one.

Would love to understand if text is also smaller on the ASD (than my MBA M2). Or if there's better settings to increase its size.

What is the screen size of the Dell monitor?
The ASD is normally also a 27" 1440p monitor at its default scaling.
But sharper, as it's HiDP , that is to say 4 actual pixels to each 1440p pixel.

You didn't tell us WHAT SIZE the current display is.

If text is "too small", you probably want...
32" display, 4k resolution.
