Need help. Someone broke into my car and stole my Ipod touch. It didn't need a passcode to get in and now the thief can get into my yahoo mail account. Is there any advice on what to do -- besides shutting down my email account?

Thanks

try just changing the password, if you do your ipod should ask for the password when the mail app is opened but im not sure.

erin,

that also includes your password in the itunes store. change it.

otherwise the thief can use the touch to purchase things directly.

if you haven't - make sure that you file a police report.

if you have mobileme and the touch synced with it, you may be able to do a remote wipe and/or lock. here's a link to a thread at apple that discusses the same (unfortunate) issue:

sorry this happened to you - best of luck

Never leave any electronics within your car! Unless they are connected to the car and cannot be disassembled from the car, ALWAYS TAKE THEM WITH YOU! It only takes once to place your iPod in your car and to come back with the windows smashed and iPod gone! Learned the hard way when I left the cameras in the car while staying at a hotel. Needless to say, they recieved a nice video camera. :apple:
