It usually restarts itself 2-4x after I turn it on, but after that I get no problems. When it beings to restart itself initially I try and verify disk and tells me it may be corrupted and have to go into recovery mode but I am unable to do so because I dont have Recovery HD. After the initial few restarts I retry Verify Disk and I get no more problems with it telling me The volume iMac HD appears to be ok and the computer no longer restarts. When the verify disk error occurs it tell me that

unused node is not erased (node=49264)
    Checking Volume bitmap
Volume Bitmap needs minor repair for orphaned blocks
    Checking Volume information
The Volume iMac HD was found corrupt and needs to be repaired
Error:This Disk needs to be repaired us...es window appears, choose Disk Utility.

It looks like your OS could have become corrupt due to a possibly failing Hard Drive (Apple Hardware Sensor error). During launch, it's having trouble finding what it needs to load into Memory resulting in the Kernel Panic.

You could try a disk Utility such as Disk Warrior or Tech Tools Pro to temporily correct it. However, the life of that disk is likely very limited.

If you have a full backup, I'd just replace the drive.

Is that the DVD that came with the 2009 iMac?

Also, since you have Mountain Lion installed, did you try holding down the Command and R keys at start-up to boot into the Recovery Partition?
