So this is better than the ram available from OWC? Other than voltage the spec looks same.

OWC has a cas latency of 11, whereas these have a cas latency of 9. While the "speed" is the same, latency makes a huge difference since it is the amount of time that it takes for the memory module to access a particular memory column in the RAM. The lower the latency, the faster the response from the Memory. How much difference this truly makes in real world experience is probably 2-10% (depending on how memory dependent a task is).

There's a reason why Kingston charges about $50 more for this than "normal" 1600mhz DDR3 Sodimms

as paul wrote it has faster timings. Whether it is worth 111 .

I don;t know. I do have the 2x 4gb kits in some minis and they are faster then any other.

    these are 65 take 9.75 off with the 15% coupon = $55.25

they beat this price of 59.99

the speed key is the cl9 most mini ram is cl11.

I am assuming the dead heat is they are 1600MHz so the cl is the tie breaker.

this is a small advantage but it does exist. and some want the fastest.

this is also reliable and that is rare .

the fastest plus reliable is more often not the case.
