Remind me again how Iraq has made us safer? Really, I want to know. Because I'm just not seeing it. If any other real threats come along (like this, or Iran, or NK, or Afghanistan, or Pakistan...), we wouldn't really be able to do anything about it. Not that anyone would trust this administration to handle it, based on their current efforts.
Remember when we were all supporting the war in Afghanistan and we were actually winning? Remember that Bin Laden guy? I wonder what he's been up to lately.

How could you forget about the Bush Administration's most reliable subsidery: the Blair government. The Royal Navy, RAF and British Army won't have anything better to do soon, what with the "mission" being "accomplished" in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Though perhaps a well-traveled point, I consistently find it humorous that some countries are not held to the same scrutiny when it comes to messing with another countries internal affairs and/or are free to ignore UN mandates (or the UN in general) w/o repercussion(s).
The good/evil dichotomy makes geopolitics so much more drama-laden...
(BTW, I've missed you lot...I hope it has been amicable here in my absence.
