This will be interesting. Is it a sign that she will choose Castro or Kaine? Hmm. We shall see. ;-)

I'll personally be there. I cannot wait. I'll try to get some pictures for you all.

She will most likely select Sherrod Brown. Castro has about a 0.0001 chance.

Castro is under investigation for Hatch Act violations. I'm sure he didn't intend anything so it's all good.

She'll announce Bill. VP (does nothing) and first-man. All the hardcore democraps will love it. Plus she won't have to be in the same room with him, ever, for security reasons, so he'll keep on whoring. Win/win for the cancer vote.

Tim Kaine. And to contrast with the Donny & Mikey show, Clinton will let Kaine do most of the talking, and half of it will be in his fluent Spanish.

Just nailing down Hispanic vote for Prez of the USA. In case a few fell into the lean-Trump column by mistake.

Bzzzzzzt. The purpose of MikePence on the Trump ticket is to attract potential voters to the Republican ticket who may not have been won over by the candidate himself.

The attraction of a VP candidate could be geographic, ideological, personal, religious, ethnic, whatever.

It's about "balancing" the ticket and it's the ostensible reason any VP pick is made by any candidate of any party. Pitching to Hispanic voters is perfectly legit, you could even ask Jeb Bush.

Another reason to pick a candidate for VP is in consideration of the person's party connections and ability to network for ground operations and campaign contributions. Tim Kaine has all that and more, since he's a past DNC chair so he'd be a good pick for the Clinton campaign.,

It's somewhat difficult to vote for someone who is not on the ballot. I'm not sure if it's even possible to pick your own write-in VP or whether you have to vote for a single Pres/VP ticket.

You can vote for whoever you want. It just doesn't matter unless you vote for one of the two, and even then you have the Electoral College.

Spanish is one of the more widely spoken languages aside from English in the USA. It's nice to hear a bilingual political candidate, someone who is able to speak informally on the stump now and then in the language some citizens prefer to use at home or even on the job. In many countries a lot of people including their politicians are at least bilingual, no harm our finally catching up... or at least that's how I see it.

Don't worry... if you prefer farmspeak, for instance, over Spanish: I hear Iowa's Vilsack is rising in the media's guess on who will be Clinton's pick... Maybe he will be in the mold of Truman, who was known for his tendency to call manure something a little more earthy. :D

Or they might like him because he's about the whitest white dude in existence that speaks spanish because he went on a Catholic mission to Honduras and thought well enough of the people he meet there to learn to speak their language. I think the hispanic folks in America might respect him more because he's a white Catholic and speaks Spanish the language thing works wonders.

Of course, Electoral College is the way to go. Your system is broken because it makes it almost irrelevant.
