If she asks he should accept. I think he'd be more at home in government than running a tech company. He can take Lisa Jackson with him.

In what position? It is easy to say some talented person should be the cabinet, but, I have a hard time picturing what slot would suit him.

Well, he's been shown to have a pretty good hand at outsourcing our manufacturing work out to China.

What's the issue? Having technocrats in government is good.

I'd imagine all those small government conservatives would be all over Cook for a cabinet position. He's amazing at making things thinner.

You've got to be kidding me, give up making Billions of Dollars as CEO of Apple, in a job where he can almost single handedly change the world, and go work for Government.

I don't see this ever happening. Tim Cook doesn't seem the type to be happy in a government position. Plus once you have been the boss of a company, are you really going to want to go to work for other people at a relatively paltry wage that is only guaranteed to last four to eight years? I think not.

Perfect. Government bureaucracy is just like iTunes and this would ensure that every new version will be worse than the last.

    I'm all for this.

Cook so obviously wants to be a politician. He is in the wrong job at Apple, as evidenced by the 30% share decline and the falling sales of iPhones and iPads, soon to be Macs, and inability to carry on Steve Jobs's legacy of making outstanding products; hence Apple Music, Apple Pay and Apple Watch.

She's against the TPP. He's for the TPP. Whatever that means, if anything.

So he's wrecking the company but wants to be a politician? Why doesn't he become a Republican? He's already biased against American workers: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/scott-paul/tim-cooks-views-on-americ_b_8854910.html

I would not be surprised if the signs TPP, TTIP, and TiSA anyway.

Easily the most realistic response of the bunch. +1

Assumption aplenty. Something anyone can make but you've not kept up with politics in any way shape or form?
    --- Post Merged, Jul 9, 2016 ---
You mean you would not be surprised if she signed TPP, TTIP, TiSA? (I'm not saying it's bad or all bad, what we do know (which isn't much) is that some of those treaties are supposed to counter China. Individual details might be of contention, like suing a government if it's believed a government policy is in any way related to a loss of profit - an item that has been bandied around the internet. I'm not sure even the biggest supporter of capitalism wants either side involved in the other.

    Bingo.

Second most realistic/best post in the thread, if not a tie.

He's better than his predecessor, especially regarding recalls and warranty extensions as opposed to blaming the customers. He's a man of ethics and character in those regards.

It is. But one thing he's not considering is that Tim Cook is probably so rich by this point, he could decide to take the job just for the challenge of it.

They are corporatist constitutions disguised as anti-China free trade treaties.

Well, he's pretty much just "phoning it in" these days with Apple anyways, so why not?
If at all possible I hope he can take Ive with him.

Exactly. Though he has only been at the job for, what, 4 years now? He could stick around for a little while longer yet.

Yeah, I'd love to see what he could do with our money...

    Here's Obama's first cabinet back in 2009.
President_Barack_Obama_with_full_cabinet_09-10-09.jpg Hmm, maybe not a bad idea! Tim is already filthy rich, I highly doubt he's staying at Apple just for the money. Being apart of a President's cabinet is a HUGE deal whether or not you like Hillary or not.

Why not just make him her VP, and continue the trend ... 1st black president, 1st female president, 1st gay president ...
