Finally after fixing the Changing Short Name issue on my macbook.

Every time I hit the "delete" key when im like deleting a sentence in word and move my mouse cursor (track pad) right after hitting delete key, my cursor lags or disappears for like a second then comes back, it just recently happened, i just upgraded to 2 gigs of ram, happened before the upgrade and after the upgrade of ram

btw, under finder i changed the background to from white color to a picture, and its pretty dark, i would like to change to font color to something else, anyone know how or is possible??

Mac OS X actually hides your cursor for you while you're typing, so that it doesn't get in the way. :) I was looking around to see if there is an option to turn it off, but I couldn't find one.

As for the icon font color, I don't believe you can change it yourself, but you can add those cool color labels to all your desktop items by right-clicking and changing the color label.
