    Hi,

I have an old 2010 MBP that is due to be replaced. It's running an home made Fusion Drive (I replaced the optical drive with an HDD a while ago).

I am planning to buy a new MBP soon. I was wondering if I can simply use my Time Machine backup while setting up my new MBP to transfer everything on it, or should I get rid of the home made fusion drive on the old MBP first?

    Thanks in advance!

Using the Time Machine backup to migrate your old Mac data to the new Mac should work fine. You do not need to remove the fusion.
