It's a weird one, but discovered this last night. Give it a go...
Have a full home screen of icons, every slot filled, but no second
page. Then add another web clip so you get a second page with just that new webclip on it. Press the
home button to stop the icons jiggling.
Now remove the webclip you added so you're back to one home page. Press the home button again.
Open safari. Go to any website. Press the "plus" (+) as if to add a bookmark
or webclip but then press CANCEL instead. Now press the home button to return to the home screen.
If I'm right, you should now have two white dots at the bottom of the
home screen indicating a second page. You can scroll to that second
page, but theres nothing on it.
Jiggling the icons and then pressing home again to cancel will remove the
second page.
Obviously this has no adverse effect on the phones operation. Just a quirky little bug.
So far tested on two iPhones running 1.1.3 and both have this "feature".
