As in the title. I've shared access with someone (marked as Resident) owning an iP when they stayed in my home, to be able to control my Philips Hue (via Philips hub) lights from the Home App, with myself being the Resident (owner).

At one stage outside my home they were able to see what lights I had on and when, until I unchecked "control accessories remotely" for them. Trouble is that I often get a notification that "Home Hub is not responding"...but so does the other person.

When I do bring up People within Home and have the option to "Remove Person", the following message appears every time:

Home.jpg

So ultimately I would like to delete this person entirely but Home isn't letting me do this. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Cheers

have you tried re-enabling remote access before you delete them?
I cannot believe this actually worked!!

On one hand I think I should have admin privilege to delete no matter what, but on the other hand I'm thinking it needed this connection on their end to allow me to delete on my end?

I wonder if this will stop getting the many notifications (other person also concurrently), that my Home Hub isn't responding. Then again it could have been as my attached Home Pod wasn't plugged in to power.

Thank you very much for responding and solving the issue. I'll mark it as such for posterity.

yeah, better to remove from your house and re-add once it's plugged back in. Homekit doesn't like missing devices like that.
Thank you, I'll do that. In addition to this, would you recommend resetting the Home Pod to factory settings also?

Never removed a HomePod,
But, I'd plug it in, wait for it to show up, and then remove it from homekit (which I think resets it to factory at the same time)
