I have a problem with safari (beta2):
everytime I set the homepage to a different address than the default appl/netscape page, surf around, quit safari and start it again later, the startup page gets tuned back to the default page...

is there any way to make the change permenent or do I simply have to live with that?

Open up your System Preferences, and go to the Internet pane. Set your homepage in there, and then set it to the same page in Safari. That should work. If it doesn't, search Apple's Knowledge Database.
