I've had this issue across my entire machine using 3 User accounts and even doing; a complete system reinstall and Time Machine restore as well as an Archive and Install.

I'm running 10.6.2.

The issue is that I had set Hot Corners to activate ONLY when holding a modifier key. You do this by simply holding any of the keys while selecting what you want each corner to do in the pull-down menu (pictured). I tried with Control, then Option, then Command, with each it ALWAYS behaved the same by randomly resetting itself.

When it reset itself it would delete the modifier key from the setting. Meaning if I had a corner set to activate when Control is pressed, it would, at random, decide to remove Control from the setting and activate each time I went to the corner.

This is frustrating, I want to use hot corners but not in the way Steve intended when he introduced OS X, that way sucks and it's annoying! The Apple at the top left, spotlight at the top right, full-screen controls at the bottom! Always having my computer do funky operations when I inadvertently track too far into a corner!

Ideas?

I spent 2 hours on the phone with Apple deleting plists and, like I said, even did several reinstalls. No dice.
