Is this creating jobs, Republicans? Look how quickly they've turned their backs on the military. Something tells me that all their recent behavior is going to cost them a lot of military votes next election. Idiots.

I think they have been emboldened by the brinksmanship over the debt ceiling. This does not bode well for functional politics.

Why is it that a lot of the time, it seems everything they do is aimed at hurting/punishing people rather than helping them? It's becoming a pattern.

If you think about when you are dealing with a child or a dog, or a co-worker or SO or whatever, when they do something you don't like, if you respond back when you're angry, you make a poorer decision, because your body is designed to suppress thinking during a strong emotional response. You can't think straight and be pissed off at the same time. The GOP has become the party of anger, and the natural consequence is that they've become the party of not engaging in the use of logic.

It to the point that the Dems should just let the GOP get themselves screwed. Stop giving into the bat **** crazy stuff. The votes the would "loss" would be vote they never would of gotten any how. Die hard GOPer are not worth caring if they get pissed because no matter what they would never vote for them.

Sadly the Dems have failed so many times to hold the lines to BAT **** CRAZY that the GOP keeps using it time and time again. Let the crazy get GOP screwed. God knows the Dems need all the help they can get for the 2012 election as so many states goverments are controlled by GOP so the districts are stack against them.
