I just picked up an 8GB USB stick but some sites are saying you need 16, others are saying 8. Is 8 going to be okay?

I have it on an 8GB thumb drive and it works fine - have done several installs with it.

I used an 8GB SD card. Did so with Mountain Lion and Maverick's also. :)

The file is just over 5 gigabytes so an 8GB flash drive is the minimum.
