What is Apple adding to justify an increase? I know some will say camera and 5G, but 5G is sporadic and the cameras were top notch last year.

Apple missed the boat on-
Massive notch reduction or finger print hole or Touch ID inside phone

For an 11 Pro Max owner, it is a no thanks for me.

They can do whatever they want because they want. We both know it'll still sail hand over fist to further validate their decision...whether we agree or not, sadly.

If I Pad Pro wasn’t so good, I would consider switching. Apple has gotten lazy with their phone line.

Since we don’t know what else will or won’t be included or what the price will be it’s pointless to speculate. You obviously have made up your mind already and have dismissed some of the potential improvements already. But as commonly known new components cost more money than older ones.

Their prices are slowly pushing me out. I have ipad Pro, phone, MacBook Pro, ATV and etc. Looked into new MacBook Pro prices the other day...horrendous.

Luckily there are MacBook Air, entry level iPad and iPhone SE for those shopping with less money in their pockets. On the other hand, Apple was never cheap and it’s not realistic to expect that to change.

You should ask the "I upgrade every year, no matter what" buyers. They have your answer.

And who said the price will increase? We haven't seen anything official about the iPhone 12 lineup yet.

Not one person has answered the OP question because they know if the leaks are true then Apple is just taking the p@ss.

I mentioned this in other threads, nothing from the leaks has given me any reason to assume the 12 Pro is worth it over the regular 12 models this year.

what’s actually Pro once you take away the same OLED, new frame design, identical 6.1” size, thin bezels and 5G found on the 12? Telephoto lens? Wow super pro.

I have the 11 Pro because it’s superior to the 11 with it’s LCD display, fat heavy body, 750p resolution and fat bezels but this year that’s not true.

I’ve pretty much noticed the price of about everything going up?? What happens especially right now.

All I care about are color options and 5g specs lol. Top two Apple iPhone 12 models will be mine :)

5G modem costing Apple $75-$125
But we really don’t know official retail prices yet
It’s all about need, bragging rights and affordability

I answered that because we still don't have confirmed specs about the iPhone 12 lineup. But yes, if the leaks are true, I agree with you.

Since you’re asking a question about Apple justifying an increase for the iPhone, can you provide a source or prove that Apple actually is increasing the price of the iPhone? Otherwise, it’s merely projecting.

I don't see them increasing prices on the pro models, there's literally nothing in my opinion that would justify a price increase.

However on the non-pro models I could see the 5.4 inch model at the price of the current 6.1 inch and the 6.1 inch model being 50-100$ more expensive than the current 6.1 inch model due to addition of OLED, extra camera(?), 5G, ... The 6.1 inch non-pro model will basically be this years 11 pro 5.8inch but at a cheaper price and with a better chip + 5G support.

I think this needs to be repeated again.

Every new iPhone release is not targeted towards the previous gen users like yourself. It's targeted towards those using 2 years or older devices. The improvements of course will be incremental. Technology and manufacturing are not magic.

These threads show up around this time every year. No one knows how Apple is going to price these phones, so that is all speculation. Also, no one knows what new features have not been leaked, both hardware and software-wise.

Once we have actual information from Apple, then we can judge if the new phones are worth the upgrade.

I was going to skip the 11 Pro Max, but the bigger battery and better camera system were worth the upgrade to me. Feel like I have gotten my money's worth on that one. YMMV.
