How can I get my photos off an iphone?

I would like to be able to copy my photos from an iphone into my computer without having to email them to myself and pay for the privilege.
Is there some way to just connect he iphone to my mac and copy the photos to my hard drive?

Are you using a mac? If so, you just hook it up to your computer and import them into iPhoto. Pretty easy to do.
