So I've always had my security setting as such:

- auto lock after 1 minute
- require passcode after 5 minutes

But now since upgrading to the 5s, it only gives me the option to change the auto-lock, not the passcode requirement. So now it becomes super annoying if I'm having a text-conversation where every time I reply (even after 61 seconds), I have to do the thumbprint.

Any way around this or is it Apple telling me how to live my life? lol

I don't get mine until tomorrow, but doesn't the finger print take about the same amount of time as sliding to unlock?

Less actually, just press the home button to power up and leave your finger on the button after you release...the phone is unlocked as soon as the screen is on.

Thats what I was thinking, which is why I was confused as to why it would matter :)

Honestly since the fingerprint is actually faster than click then swipe with no code I didn't even notice this was missing. I used to always do the same so I didn't have to enter a passcode EVERY time I unlocked.
