I had unlocked the phone a while back to do custom ringtones. But after problems when the updates occured and the phone was reset, I left it alone.

Does that mean that phone has been RElocked with the updates? Or does it remain unlocked?

And how can I tell without, or course, hacking the phone?

I was wondering the same thing.... I hacked it a while ago to get ringtones and get a few apps but not to change the carrier..... i since did a restore and think i relocked my phone, but now that Apple released the threat against hackers that the update might cause your phone to stop working, i'm kinda freaking out.....

if you actively unlocked your phone and then did an update all you would have to have done is activate it again. Simple way to see if it is unlocked is just put another carriers SIM in. Unlocked you'll make a call If nor you'll get a SIM error that simple . As for apple issues will start with version 1.1.1 and not the current 1.0.2.
