Although I primarily use a Nikon D300, I also like to use the smaller Nikon DSLRs as every day cameras and am looking forward to getting one of the new D3100 cameras and the Nikkor DX 55-300mm VR telephoto super-zoom.

    Anybody else have any opinions?

Most people are waiting until reviews of production units are available. There's not much point in getting whipped up about it until we see how it performs in real life. It could be good, it could be mediocre, it could be a disappointment. For folks who want continuous AF in video, it's at least interesting, but until we see how it performs, what's to discus?
