How do I get temperature readings for CPU, HD, ambient etc?

Hi

I want to know what the temperatures in my iMac are.
Back in the day I used the widget iStat pro for this (OMG I loved that app). How do you guys do it these days?

There are apps in the app store, but It's hard to know what's good and whats crap.

I feels it's a very basic thing to want to know, how come Apple is hiding it?

There's this widget called iStat Menus that some people like. There's also TG Pro and Macs Fan Control.
