How do I import old email from hotmail to Mac Mail ?

I want to export some old emails from my old hotmail account, as I now use Gmail and the hotmail account never gets used.

How would I ' export' emails from my hotmail account and add them to a new folder in Mac Mail without adding the account as I don't want to receive any email from my old hotmail account.

What is the easiest way of doing this please?

Forward each e-mail individually? You can't push a free Hotmail account to anything else, so that seems to be the only way.

This would work but when I search in Macmail for the sender, it will come up as my name rather than the original sender... I have about 100 email from somebody and I would like to keep them all including their name so that the search criteria can reference this.. possible ?

So is there anyway that I can some how ' export' the old hotmail messages and then ' import' them into MacMail keeping the same data i.e. the sender so it looks like they were just sent to my gmail account which is what I use in Mac mail... or is this just impossible
