Here's the scenario: I edit pictures all day in Photoshop, but I also want to be entertained by watching videos, either on YouTube or a similar video player. (I'm definitely a multi-tasker!) But it's always hidden behind all those pictures!

How do I work in Photoshop, while keeping the web browser window constantly on top of that application? I am currently using Firefox. I have the 24-inch new iMac.

Maybe I am missing something, but I just can't figure it out and it's driving me nuts!

Keeping Windows On Top:Mac OS X: Software Solution

TerryCPiano, a YouTube video-maker, posted a solution to your problem. I watched his video and found it very helpful. He seems like a Mac expert.

The software he recommends, called Afloat, can be found here:

It is for Mac OS X.

Will work with applications based on the "Cocoa" scripting language (like Safari and iChat).

It will NOT work with applications based on the "Carbon" scripting language (like Finder and iTunes).

You should install any software at your own risk, and research any bad press related to this software before use. Hey, you never know.

This post was not written by, but owes gratitude to, TerryCPiano.

Thank you for solving this problem (in advance of our knowing that we had that problem)!
