Hi, I have an iPhone 4, OS fully updated. With my Mac it just detected my work printer when they were on the same wifi network and I was good to go. No such luck with my iPhone. I've read the term airprint online but don't know what that means. Sorry for the noob question and thanks for any/all help :)

So there's seriously no way at all to do it without an Airprint printer? Cuz obviously my work isnt going to buy me a new peinter for my iphone sake

There are some programs to emulate an AirPrint printer on Windows/Mac and print to any printer that the Windows/Mac can already print to. Printopia is a good one for Mac.

If you guys have HP printers, they may be ePrint compatible.

Awesome! Thanks! (and shame on Mac for not making this a native product)

Apple did plan for it to be a feature when iOS 4.2.1 came out. But it was removed from the betas just before it was released. No one knows way Apple removed this feature. On Windows the AirPrint server functionality was to be provided by iTunes and by a native background process on Mac OS X 10.6.X.

The new Canon Pixma printers also have AirPrint which will let you print from any app and from Canon App.

You could also email yourself what you want to print if there's no other option.
