Hello, I'm about to buy a 15" or 17" HR AG MBP. In my retirement (just starting) I want to become a "serious amateur" photographer. I understand that all displays need to be calibrated in order to achieve the best (most accrurate) colors. Even when calibrated, how good/accurate are MBP displays? (This forum contains many criticisms of the latest displays.) Is it better to opt for an external display? (I've read that LaCie, NEC, and expensive Eizo displays are good, better than ACDs. What say you? Is the 15" or 17" MBP screen up to snuff? =========== Re: Calibration... This is a process I have never done and frankly I'm intimidated by the thought of doing it. I'll probably try to find someone to do it for a fee. Is display calibration a procedure that only needs to be done ONCE or is tweaking continually required? Any suggestions re external monitors are welcome... What's the biggest/best bang for the buck? I hope you can lessen my confusion. Many thanks.
