Michele Bachmann: 'I don't judge gays':

Is this woman really presidential material?

He really cornered her with those question about her views. She kept telling him that she's not here to judge and that this is not why she runs for president... but oh well. Bless him for being insistant on making her realize that her view on gays and the things she said could cost her thousands of votes.

You know, sometimes you would think a politician would schmooze even with those they don't like to get the votes but when it comes to gays and their "lifestyle" it's like they're completely ignorant.

What I would like to see is a panel of professionals from all walks of life, straight, gay, bi and transgender, to get together and really discuss these issues on national television. All we hear about are quotes and opinions in fragmented interviews or videos on television and the internet but I don't believe there has ever been a real discussion about it.

In order to win the Republican nomination, you pretty much have to take the bat **** position on any social issue.

She's not just taking that position, she's relishing it.

She's no better than the catcher who complains about bad knees.

Please, please type this... into google: bachman corn dog

Then look at images. Ahh, yes, the guy acting like he's never done that before is her husband.

Speaking of bad knees, anyone else think Marcus wishes he were handling a foot long? :D

Yeah, saw that interview yesterday morning. From the start, Bachmann really dodged and weaved around every question David Gregory threw her (I talked about that more in another thread), and I started to get quite pissed with him for letting her off the hook so often by moving on to another question.

But he really had her cornered when it came to DADT and gay marriage. He made her look really bad. She made herself look really bad.

I agree with Lee. She's evil. And for voting for her, Iowa has demonstrated that "Children of the Corn" wasn't just a Stephen King story.

Here's a campaign tip: When you run a "pray the gay away" clinic, even though rumor has it that you're gay because you're more flaming than an Arizona desert on a hot, dry day, don't enjoy a foot long corn dog within focal length of a telephoto lens.

Last Week, HuffPo wrote up a pretty interesting and damning story about Bachmann and her flip-flops, and downright hypocrisy of her views. I'm hoping it gets propagated as much as possible, because people need to know this. Have a read (I'm not going to quote the whole article, as it is fairly long), and decide for yourself.

There is plenty more in that article. But I seriously hope that someone calls her out on it.

She is nutty, we've been dealing with her B.S. for years.

I apologize on behalf of the entire state of Minnesota for allowing her to get this far into the national global spotlight.

It would appear it is completely irrelevant. Obama was strongly opposed to foreign military conflicts and we all saw how that panned out.

Really? Obama said he was opposed to foreign military conflicts? I don't remember that. I remember him being opposed to the war in Iraq, and that's about it.
