Can anyone provide actual stats on how long it takes to create a DVD on the 800mhz and 1ghz iMac and/or eMac? I doubt that anyone has specs on the brand new iMac but any educated guesses on its performance are welcome.

My WindowsXP machine only has an 800mhz AMD Athlon. This machine takes about 8 hours to render 1 hour of video to MPEG2. I have to edit my movie and then let it render while I sleep. If it bomps out I have to try again the next day.

How long will it take to render 50 minutes on an iMac or eMac?

Thanks,
BA

Using iDVD it take about 3 to 4 hours for a 800 MHz iMac FP to do the rendering (if nothing else is running on the Machine) of about 1 hour of video.
