How long have you had your HTC One and is it still just as smooth?

I just got mine and I'm amazed at its iPhone like feel and responsiveness. However I really don't remember if the last Android device I used for 3 years was also like this and then turned slow. Because this last year it was painfully choppy. I am hoping this phone will be able to handle new updates and whatnot for the next few years and still remain smooth.

Since it first came out in April, and yes absolutely no difference between then and now with all my photos, videos, music and apps. Its as responsive as the first day. Time & usage has had no affect.

Unless you're talking about custom ROMs, good luck with that. HTC won't support it for more than a year.

One X, One X+ both being supported with update to 4.2.2 and Sense 5.

Its safe to say the One will be at least supported as long, meaning it will get support at least till Q3/Q4 2014 software update wise.

It will get KLP (Key Lime Pie) and will presumably get smaller update fom that (most likely changing elements of Sense rather than android base) but likely won't get what comes 'after' Key Lime Pie.

I'll believe that when I actually see the update. I bet by the time HTC get around to actually pushing 4.2.2 out for the One X, Key Lime Pie will have been released.

Of course even if they begin rollout in August if like the HTC One 4.2.2 rollout, it will likely take upto 8 weeks to roll-out to each territory. So we can at least hope that by the end of October or even November, they will all be updated.

We still have no official date for Key Lime Pie especially with 4.3 just released and the Google Edition S4 & HTC One still awaiting that update.

The point still remains it is being updated even after 18 months or more of being on the market. It may not be getting updated to the very latest version of Android, but it is still getting updates. We should expect the same for the HTC One.

I know it's been announced, but if the past is any indication it'll be delayed at least three times :p

I've had mine for about 3 weeks now. The only place where it lags or stutters is while playing games like Temple Run 2 or Jetpack Joyride.

Since day one of the Dev Editions (not literally -- like a week or so after release after shipping and all).

    Just as smooth.

Mine arrived four days after the release date. It's still as fast and smooth as day one. My experience with several phones running Android version 4.1.x or higher, is they've all been stable, consistent and smooth. No longer is slowing down with time an issue.

Really surprised by this. Are you saying state of the art hardware isn't capable of running these 30 mb games?

I have had my One for about a month now, still on stock 4.1.2 with Sense. No lag and no issues with my daily usage. Loving the phone.

Don't know for sure, but there are stutters in both of these games on my One. They were not there when played on my iPhone 4S.

You've definitely got an issue there. My old Galaxy S2 will play both of those with no problems

    your galaxy S2 is running them at 480 x 800 not 1920 x 1080 ;)

Temple Run OZ is silky smooth on my one though, so I'm not sure why Temple Run 2 would not be smooth ???

Is Temple Run OZ based on Temple Run or Temple Run 2?

Aren't they essentially the same? Temple Run Oz came out after TR2 so if anything it would be based on that....

Speaking of KLP does anyone have a rough idea of when this is coming and how big of a change will it be? Is the Android UI going to be overhauled?

We don't really know, some Rumors point to end of the year, some are saying early next..... Maybe with nexus 5 announcement we will get more info. If it looks like the N5 is getting 4.3 then it any indeed be early next year rather than this. We will just have to wait a couple of months to see tbh...

that is what I am thinking. I would be shocked if they released KLP so close to 4.3. I hope they don't wait until early next year to release the n5 though.
