How long will it take for you to lose excitement on the iPhone X once you receive it?

Like with all new things/gadgets you buy, Nintendo Switch (game consoles), car, laptop, iPhone, smarwatch etc. how long will it take for you to say, oh, it's not too special anymore?

I would give it about a month before I say, iPhone X is just another phone. The interest/excitement on the phones new features will come and go and then a new one will take its place. The hope and longevity for me would be the supposed 2 extra hours of battery life over the 7. How long will your excitement last when you finally have the X?

It’ll last about two weeks. That’s been my excitement period for the last few times I’ve got the phones.

I think excitement eventually wears off for all pieces of technology after while. Eventually it just comes down to the user experience with iOS and how everything functions together as a whole.

I don't really 'lose excitement' over my Apple products. There's so many apps to keep the phone fresh, change your wallpaper, use gboard (change the background of your keyboard), move apps arounds, etc. It keeps it interesting for me, and the new iOS releases are a bonus :)

Although i'm on the upgrade programme too, so a new phone every year helps with the excitement haha

I actually get MOST excited in the unboxing. Then once it's out and I start to set it up, it gets less. I have to sync the apps, then cull my pictures, then my music i usually.... USB....

Anyway, you guys check out Stranger Things 2 yet? It's awesome.... gonna go play Mario Odyssey. What were we talking about?

The excitement of having received my first Atari 2600 still hasn't worn off. Once it does I'm onto a NES system! Booya!

Until I have to go back to work on Monday. Then it just becomes an every day phone with the added intrigue of learning a new gesture system.

I expect it to be a bit like the 2G - it's gonna be pretty exciting all year.

The 'honeymoon' period lasts about two or three weeks for me, but I always have the occasional moment when a product makes me smile.

For example, watching photo memories on my iPhone often brings a (joyful) tear to my eye. The video my iPhone made about photos of my wife and me was really emotional and brought back many happy memories.

Even more everyday stuff gives me repeat joy, like using the camera and enjoying videos and games on the gorgeous iPhone displays. The excitement level will never again reach that of the first few days, but my iPhone tends to still excite me always... until the next one.

Can't wait for iPhone X! Most exciting product launch ever for me.
